Secondhome takes the security and privacy of those of its contacts about which it holds personal information extremely seriously. It follows strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of personal information given to us in order to prevent unauthorized access.

Personal Data is held on our contacts and administration database either because of work we have undertaken or are currently engaged in, or because our clients have indicated that they would be interested in receiving material from us about our business. To that end we hold client contact details and the history of our client relationship. This allows us to manage our client relationships effectively and target items of interest so that clients do not receive unwanted material.

In accordance with their rights under the Act, clients may request the amendment of the personal information held or to cease receiving direct marketing materials.

Secondhome does not sell, rent or deal in the personal information we hold. Information may, in the ordinary course of business, move to our contractors, which may involve the transfer of data outside the European Economic Area. This happens when we organise a visit with our partners in the country where the property is located. We will recommend mortgage brokers, currency brokers and notaires/legal advisors. If you wish to be put in touch with them, we will then introduce you.

Secondhome is providing and relaying information received by either a certified agent or a developer to its clients. For this reason, Secondhome does not assume any responsability for any statement, marketing material or respresentations that they relay. The contracts and deeds of sale signed at the notaire are the only valid legal basis for the purchase. For this reason, Secondhome always recommend clients to go through the contracts with a notaire or other legal representative and base their purchase on the content of these contracts. Secondhome also strongly recommend clients to visit properties or sites before purchasing and Secondhome will help in organising these visits.
